How this role fits Dholera
Dholera is where a semiconductor fab is being built by Tata Electronics with PSMC, approved by the Union Cabinet on 29 February 2024 under the India Semiconductor Mission, with a reported investment of about Rs 91,000 crore and capacity of up to 50,000 wafers per month on 300 mm wafers. A fab is chemically and utility intensive, using hazardous gases, acids and large volumes of ultrapure water, and Dholera's reported smart-city utilities include underground power, piped natural gas, potable and recycled water networks and about 50 MLD of water treatment, all of which fall partly within EHS oversight. That makes environment, health and safety central from the construction and fit-out stage onward. Reported direct plus indirect jobs from the fab exceed 20,000, and a wider multi-fab vision cites about 100,000 as a target.
